I am passionate about creating a more compassionate world.
I believe healing is amplified when it is done in community.
Our personal well-being is linked to wide-scale societal healing.
For Businesses, Groups, and Organizations:
It is my deep passion and great joy to:
Cultural Awareness Training
For yoga teachers/practitioners/therapists/studios/yoga teacher trainings:
I provide cultural awareness training about how to respectfully engage with yoga while recognizing its roots in India. As a North Indian woman living on Turtle Island (North America) I am uniquely positioned to share information about how to make yoga more inclusive.
For individuals and families:
Through embodiment techniques, intuitive energy massage, yoga, and meditation - I help others to reconnect to their most authentic selves. I do this by witnessing both the human and spirit aspects of us on the backdrop of understanding systems of power and decolonization.
We are all unique, yet share a universal light within. I believe in honouring our physical, emotional, spiritual, mental and social selves - I want to take a truly holistic approach when it comes to the health of our bodies, our relationships, and our communities.
This world needs new approaches. Sustainable ways of life. Nurturing and compassionate understanding between peoples, species and eco-systems. This happens when we come together in truth, in respect, in creativity, and with loving hearts. Innovation is the only way our species will survive the threats we face. We must evolve and grow together - it is the only constructive way forward.
I humbly and respectfully honour the indigenous peoples whose land I occupy as a settler. I am based on stolen Coast Salish territories - specifically the ancestral, traditional land of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) nations. My ancestors are from the North of India, and as both a colonized person and a settler my identity is complex. Every day I am deeply grateful to the land herself, to the mountains, trees, and ocean for the constant renewal and healing this place offers so selflessly. Interconnection and interdependence is evident in nature - every drop of rain, every magnificent cedar, every fern. Words cannot describe how indebted and grateful I feel to live here and learn here. I dedicate myself to intergenerational healing, to learning how to be in right relationship with indigenous peoples as an effective ally and to stand in solidarity together. I encourage you to learn about whose land you occupy, especially if you are on Turtle Island (the land now known as North America) https://native-land.ca/ . I also encourage you to learn from incredibly wise and knowledgeable indigenous folks such as Pulxaneeks: https://www.indigenousrelationsconsultation.com/
